Pestalto Appointed North American Agent Commercial Sales
Posted on June 28, 2012
Rob Dupree, President of Tumaini Controlled Release Technologies Inc. (Tumaini) has appointed Pestalto to be the sales agent for Commercial Sales of Tumaini’s mosquito larval control products, MOSQUIRON 0.12P and MOSQUIRON 0.12CRD.
Pestalto is both a distributor for mosquito control products and equipment, as well as a service provider for mosquito control programs.
Pestalto’s President is Dr. Barry Tyler. Pestalto was formed in 1999 in response to the threat of West Nile virus moving into Canada as it spread west from the northeast United States. Barry is a former Canadian representative for the AMCA and the current President of the Ontario Vector Control Association.
He is also a shareholder and Vice-President of Tumaini (CRT) Inc. and therefore has a vested interest in the success of Tumaini’s larvicide products.
Barry and the Pestalto Team will be responsible for Commercial Sales of the MOSQUIRON products and will be calling on mosquito abatement districts in the near future.
Mosquiron Product Launch at the 78th AMCA Annual Meeting
Posted on March 7, 2012
February 26 to February 29 at the AMCA Conference and Trade Show in Austin will go down as one of the most exciting periods for Tumaini. Tumaini launched its Mosquiron larvicide at the trade show and supported two scientific presentations during the sessions.
The introduction of the new slow release formulation mosquito larvicide was well received at the booth by mosquito control specialists from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Ecuador. It also caught the attention of a few suppliers of alternate products.
Mosquiron is an insect growth regulator which acts as a chitin synthesis inhibitor. It is not a silver bullet but it does have a place in mosquito abatement programs where non-targets are not a concern.
We at Tumaini are very pleased with the interest and support shown at the AMCA Conference and Trade Show. We looked forward to meeting with interested parties in the coming months, providing updates at this website and at the AMCA Conference next year. Thank you.
